NarraBase-XML: an annotated set of "typical" narratives

NarraBase-XML is a collection of texts that have been identified as "standard" narratives by text linguists or narratologists. The functional annotation of text segments in XML is based on different analytical models of the narrative "basic type". XSLT transformations are used to convert annotations between theories and terminologies.

The purpose of NarraBase-XML is to monitor the effects of different narratological parameters on comparable basic texts. The text collection will also be used as training material in the NarrNetz course that is being implemented by a related project.

The Story Generator Algorithms project is a sub-project of FGN.
