Course:
It is an asphalted 5,280 meters course that circles the Hamburg Stadtpark and through the "City-Nord" district. It is measured in accordance with the German Athletics Federation rules and officially recognized. Start: Überseering, Jahnring (downward gradient), Saarlandstraße, Südring, and Hindenburgstraße (upward gradient), Jahnring (downward gradient), Überseering; Finish: New-York-Ring, in a clockwise direction. The roads are traffic free for the period of the race.

Starts:
The starts correspond to the three different races.

Finish:
the Finish is in Jahnring beneath the Toronto-Brücke.

Start Number:
The Start Number must be visible on the front of the running vest.
Start Numbers are non-transferable.

Classification:
Men, women, senior, junior, schoolboys, schoolgirls.

Registration:
The Entry Form must be completed and signed with a crossed cheque covering the Entry Fee and posted to the organizer before closing date. All competitors receive confimation of registration and additional information per post after the 13. August. which must be presented when collecting the Start Number.

Registration Date:
The closing date for registration is 4th September 1999 (postmark).

Entry Fee
Half Marathon: DM 25,- (DM 20,- before 1. July)
5 km: DM 5,-
Mile: DM 10,-
Half Marathon Skating: DM 25, -
10 km Skating: DM 15, -
2 km Kids Skating: DM 5,- Late Entry: a limited number of late entries will be accepted up until an hour before Start on Race Day (with DM 5,- supplement).
The Registration Fee is non-repayable.

Start Number:
Start Numbers will be given out from 07.00 Hrs on Race Day i.e. Sunday 24. August, in the Administration Centre of the Hamburg-Mannheimer Versicherungen AG (situated in Jahnring).

Race Certificate and Result List:
All participants may collect a Certificate, stating time and placing, 1 hour after the race in the Administration Centre.
A Results List may be acquired for DM 5,-, paid either with the Entry Fee or on Race Day.
The Results List will be posted, as will all uncollected Certificates.

Time Keeping:
Time Keeping for the Half Marathon is exclusively by Real-Time-ChampionChip of SportTeam, Zur Drebberhöhe 1, 49457 Drebber (Fax: 05445/987540). Participants may either buy the chip for DM 40,00 from the above address, and then use the chip world-wide for any event in which chip timing is used, or rent the chip for DM 5,00 plus an additional DM 35,00 deposit. Participants are requested to bring the full DM 40,00 when collecting their Start Number. The DM 35,00 deposit will be returned at the end of the race.
Time Keeping for the 10km and 5km races is also timed with the Chip. Participants who do not already possess a Chip will receive a free black "Once Only Chip" which must be retuned at the Finish.

Parking:
Parking is available in Hamburg-Nord and in the Hamburg-Mannheimer multi-storey carpark at Überseering 32.

Public Transport:
Underground Line U1 to Alsterdorf or Sengelmann.

Changing Facilities and Showers:
These are situated in the Stadtpark in the Jahn-Kampbahn (near the Planetarium) and in the school at No. 2 Carl-Cohn-Straße, entrance in Jahnring 500m from the Administration Centre.

Clothing Disposal:
Clothing bags may de deposited on a lorry at the Start.

Water Station
Situated on the left shortly after the Finish point (circular course).

Medal:
All participants receive a medal at the Finish.

Award Ceremony:
Circa 1 hour after each race in the Administration Centre.
Half Marathon: 1-6 overall placings and the winners of the Junior, M+W 40/50, M+W 50/55, M+W 60/65, M 70 classes.
10 km and 5 km: 1-6 overall placings.
