Eligibility:
Open to all runners (male and female) born in or before 1979 and registered with a current
Start Number. Entrants who are younger than 16 years of age must have their Entry Form signed
by at least one of their parents.
Entry:
Registration is possible only through a signed, fully completed Entry Form (photocopies are
welcome). Please post the Entry Form and cheque for the correct amount in DM to the organizer
(Euro Cheques preferred).
Closing date for registration: 22. August 1997.
Entries will only be accepted together with the requisit Entry Fee.
Airline personnel may pay the Entry Feee on Race Day, when collecting their Start Number -
however, it is necessary to send the Entry Form to the organizer.
Start Numbers can be collected at the LSV-Sportcenter on the following dates:
Friday September 5. 1997 between 05.00 and 08.00 p.m.
Saturday September 6. between 01.00 and 06.00 p.m.
Sunday (Race Day) between 08.00 and 10.00 a.m.
Entry Fee:
The Entry Fee includes a unique T-Shirt and a Medal.
Closing Date: 22. August 1997: DM 25,-.
Late Entry Fee i.e. after 22. August: DM 25,- plus DM 5,- organization fee.
Payment must be made by cheque and must be in DM. (Euro Cheques are preferred).
The entry and organization fees are non-refundable.
Collection of Start Number:
Start Numbers may be collected from the Race Office, LSV-Sportcenter, Borsteler Chaussee 330,
on the following dates:
Friday September 5. 1997 between 05.00 and 08.00 p.m.
Saturday September 6. between 01.00 and 06.00 p.m.
Sunday (Race Day) between 08.00 and 10.00 a.m.
Each participant receives in addition to a Start Number:
A 14th International Airport Race T-Shirt, and a Cotton Bag with additional information.
Start:
Start Line-up is from 10.45 a.m. in front of the LSV-Sportcenter, Borsteler Chaussee 330.
Start: 11.00 a.m.
Course:
10 Miles - mostly flat circa 50% asphalted and 50% unpaved paths. Each Kilometer of the course
is marked.
The course may be changed at short notice due to construction work at the Airport; this will be
announced.
There are water stations on the course.
Time Keeping:
Time Keeping is exclusively by Real-Time-ChampionChip of SportTeam, Zur Drebberhöhe 1,
49457 Drebber (Fax: 05445/987540). Participants may either buy the chip for DM 40,00 from the
above address, and then use the chip world-wide for any event in which chip timing is used,
or rent the chip for DM 5,00 plus an additional DM 35,00 deposit. Participants are requested
to bring the full DM 40,00 when collecting their Start Number. The DM 35,00 deposit will be
returned at the end of the race. Unreturned chips will be assumed to have been purchased.
In this case SportTeam will send participants additional information a few days after the race.
No time keeping without a chip!!!
Finish:
The Finish is on the 400m track at the LSV-Sportcenter.
After the Finish there will be served:
· Energy drinks
· Water/Tea
· Fruit
Please deposit all litter in the litter bins.
Divisions and Classes:
Men/Women (separate classifications). Classification corresponds to age group:
M/W 25, M/W 30, M/W 35, M/W 40, M/W 45, M/W 50, M/W 55, M/W 60, W 65 a.o., M 65, M 70 a.o.
Scoreing:
In addition to overall placings there are age group placings. The first 5 men or 3 women determine
team placings. No special entry is required for a team, however, individual participants
are asked to enter their club correctly.
Trophies and Awards:
All registered runners who reach the Finish will receive a medal.
· Trophies: 1-3 Men/Women overall placings.
· Certificates: 1-3 Men/Women age group placings.
· Certificates: 1-3 Men/Women team placings.
All certificates will be posted.
Award Ceremony:
The award ceremony will be held in the Gym at the LSV-Sportcenter immediately after the race
is over.
Results:
A Results List will be posted to each participant.
