Call for Papers: HICSS-41 Minitrack on Intelligent Decision Support for Logistics and Supply Chain Management


Research areas include quantitative modeling and methods for solving operational planning problems, software reuse, coordination within multi-agent systems, collaborative planning within supply chains, process modelling, and online collaboration processing.

The main topic of the doctoral work was the integration of quantitative solution procedures into practical decision support systems. To facilitate this task an application framework was developed in C++ (called HotFrame), which provides diverse metaheuristics as reusable software components. These components can be used in arbitrary application domains. In diverse case studies, the adaptation and implementation of quantitative solution methods for practical decision problems is being pursued and evaluated. The main application domains are production planning and logistics.
